Who painted and sewed and had a dream
To save herself going round the bend
She started Boyten’s blog: Make, Do and Mend
A hedonist girl by nature
She needed a focus for now, not later
Scrimping, saving and being thrifty
She thought that sounded rather nifty
For what started as a passing interest
Soon became Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
Old habits die hard and the consumer took hold
Confessions of a shopper dripping in gold
Transparency and verity, the truth will out
Buzz words in this time of austerity, don’t shout
Make, Do and Mend, you fool
